Conversas no feminino sobre o cotidiano da comida campeira

Abstract

This research reflects about the female memories around the campeira food, in a cut that brings the women narratives from the gaúcha campaign. The intention was to generate a space for listening to the interaction spaces that the kitchens offer, in the context of the regional culture, observing the materialities contained through the knowledge and practices beyond the barbecue. What traces, and what memories emerged about the daily life of the Pampas border kitchens, told from the perspective of these women, their memories and affections, in stitching with territorial, identity and heritage issues. Our sources were, at first, from the angle of the subject, the narratives of two women from the rural area, one from the municipality of Alegrete and the other from Santana do Livramento, in dialogue with my own reference, during 2021, during the SARS-CoV2 pandemic. Both lived in the rural area and for different reasons needed to migrate to their hometowns urban area. In a second moment, we had four interviewees during the 7th Binational Enogastronomy Festival of Santana do Livramento, in 2022, using the narrative methodology, with qualitative research analysis. From the construction of the narratives, we sought to understand the relationship between campeira food in relation to official discourses and movements called “traditionalists”; to verify which the most striking facts are remembered and associated with the surroundings of the kitchens and to find out what has changed from what was cooked in the childhood of these women to the present days.
