Abstract

This study presents the important aspects of the historical trajectory of the Association of Technical-Administrative Servers in Higher Education (ASUFPEL), highlighting the movement that led to the creation of the Association in 1979. Demonstrating a trajectory permeated by the needs of the technical-administrative servers of the Federal University of Pelotas - UFPel - because they felt a need for an entity that was representative, in front of the Superior Management and the Federal Government itself. We seek to understand the changes in favor of the category, revealing its consequences, highlighting its centrality in the professional life, personal of each technical-administrative.
