Schelling e o conceito de liberdade no Freiheitsschrift

Abstract

Freedom, the intangible philosophical concept widely explored in the history of Western philosophy, in the work of the German philosopher Friedrich WJ Schelling, Philosophical investigations into the essence of human freedom and its related issues, is defined as the capacity to realize good and bad. Surrounded by the edges of determinism, freedom for the author is not configured as a concept that excludes necessity, instead, freedom and necessity are one and the same. Schelling transcends the limits of discussion in the ethical or moral field and bases his writing on ontological and metaphysical questions, but how does he do it? Schelling's theoretical proposal is fundamentally anchored in the conception of two principles that enable not only the existence of evil and good, but the existence of the world and all things present in it, namely, the dark principle and the principle of light, that is. it is, the real and the ideal, which are the result of the manifestation of God and mutually necessary for there to be existence, considering that without opposition there can be no life. Thus, examining how these issues are intertwined with the concept of freedom is the task of this investigation.
