Trajetórias de trabalhadoras terceirizadas da limpeza na Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel)

Abstract

This research seeks to reflect on the work of outsourced cleaning women at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), from the construction of narratives about their trajectories and experiences, especially in the labor world, which present new possibilities of looking at the work done by them. Debates will be brought about the historical time, in which outsourcing is located, above all, in Brazil, thinking about the origins of neoliberal thought until its consolidation in the 1990s, in addition to the entry of outsourcing in the federal public university, especially in view of the case of UFPel. Historiographic considerations about the treatment of historical time, the new formulations of the world of work, women and their difficulties in occupying a place in the public sphere and the issues of the present time are important for the historicization of the research theme. In addition, the text discusses the importance of oral history for the construction of narratives, also addressing fieldwork reports, women and methodology. These discussions underlie the main theme of the research, that is, the narratives, constructed by oral history, of outsourced women and their multiple everyday experiences, which total thirteen (13) interviews and field conversations, which include their struggles for rights. The experiences of women who participated in the Outsourced Worker Youth and Adult Education Extension Project (PELEJA/UFPel) and some reflections on women, work and education will also be presented. The work seeks to understand the experiences of outsourcing as a precarious job, but with multiple subjective meanings.
