Entre metodologias e ferramentas: análise de software para informatização do acervo fotográfico do Memorial Theatro Sete de Abril

Abstract

This work aims to facilitate access to information through imagery analysis software that allow to computerize photographic collections. Has as object of this work the technical treatment of the collection of photographs Memorial Theatro Sete de Abril, located in the city of Pelotas / RS. Because it is a collection of relevant informational and historical content, it is essential the technical treatment of these documents for later retrieval, so that the history and the memory of this cultural space are preserved. For this, was elected as the method exploratory study with a qualitative approach, through documentary analysis of collections of information technology software, with attention to cataloging and indexing modules, procedures responsible for information retrieval. The results show that, among the three analyzed software, Personal Home Library (PHL) software has met most of the demands for treatment of photographic collections and meets the demands for management of the Schengen acquis. Being the same elected to demonstrate the feasibility analysis of treatment of photographic collection of the Memorial Theatre Seven April.
