Água como temática no Ensino de Química na Educação de Jovens e Adultos

Abstract

This research paper presents a study on the (re) construction of chemical knowledge by students of 2nd year of high school, in the mode of adult education (EJA) of a Municipal school in the city of Pelotas. In the search for meaningful learning, the theme "WATER" was used, associated with the teaching methodology Learning Unit (UA), because it has a structural basis in the students' prior knowledge and daily life. In the development of activities, these students were given an environment conducive to the interaction and socialization of their knowledge, through different pedagogical moments. The data were collected, initially, through a questionnaire that aimed to know the profile of the class, their anxieties, their difficulties, in order to, thus, direct the work that would be developed from then on. Subsequently, questionnaires, experimental activities and seminars were carried out where all perceptions and observations were recorded in a logbook, where it allowed to evaluate the evolution of knowledge in the different pedagogical moments and the final questionnaire, which allowed to evaluate the developedment proposal. The data was analyzed through an interpretative manner, in a predominantly qualitative approach. Based on these data, it was possible to identify the evolution and maturation of the students' knowledge regarding chemistry and, mainly, the relation of these concepts to the daily life
